We have proudly been land development leaders in Arkansas for over 35 years.
In 1989, Development Consultants, Inc. (DCI) was founded by civil engineer Mark Wright, landscape architect Robert Brown, and land surveyor Greg Sullivan, who combined their skills and entrepreneurial spirit to create a land development firm focused on quality and precision. Each founder brought unique expertise, allowing DCI to provide comprehensive, turnkey land development solutions from the start.
DCI quickly established itself as a premier land developer’s partner in Arkansas. After a few years, Greg Sullivan moved on to pursue other opportunities, while Mark and Robert continued to build DCI’s strong reputation and expand its capabilities. They partnered in the development of Cypress Plaza in Little Rock, where DCI’s primary office still operates today.
In 2002, land surveyor Jay Young joined DCI, followed by landscape architect Shawn Luther in 2004. These new additions helped DCI broaden its scope and capabilities, allowing the firm to handle increasingly complex projects. In 2017, civil engineer Ben Kuddes joined the team, bringing additional expertise that strengthened DCI’s leadership and technical edge.
Since 2017, Mark Wright has retired, now holding the title of Engineer Emeritus. Robert Brown, as CEO, remains actively involved, and Jay, Shawn, and Ben now lead DCI with a shared commitment to excellence. Expanding operations to Fayetteville, Arkansas and Western North Carolina, DCI now serves clients accross the region.
